The snipping tool allows you to capture anything on your computer screen and save it or copy and paste it into a file. You can even annotate it, then save or copy and paste it. The Snipping Tool is located in the Windows Accessories folder of Windows 7 and higher. You may not have noticed the tool before as it is hiding in the Accessories folder. Click the Windows button in the lower left of your screen and select All Programs. Click on the Accessories folder and scroll down to Snipping Tool. Double click, Snipping Tool to open it. It will open as a floating toolbar on your screen.
When you use the tool a second time, it will show in your programs list so that you won't have locate it in the Accessories folder.You can also create a shortcut to it by right-clicking on the title and selecting Pin to Taskbar or Pin to Start Menu.
